About this studio

Rezza Tango teaches Argentine tango in Paris with a focus on the music, the body, and the poetry of the dance. The instructor, Rezza, was born in Iran and trained in philosophy, history of art, and contemporary dance before taking up Argentine tango in 2009. He founded his first teaching project in Poitiers in 2015, driven by the desire to transmit tango in all its dimensions: bodily, musical, and poetic. That venture has since continued in Paris under the name Rezza Tango.

Classes run every Friday. Collective beginner courses meet from 19:00 to 20:30, while intermediate and advanced sessions run from 20:30 to 22:00, held at Micadanses (Studio So Schnell) in the 4th arrondissement at 15 rue Geoffroy-L'Asnier. Private lessons for all levels, couples and solos, are offered daily by reservation at Centre de Danse du Marais, 41 rue du Temple, also in the 4th arrondissement.

After each session, students receive a video or summary sheet of what was covered — a tool Rezza describes as rare in tango teaching, designed to support progress between classes. He also shares research on the history of Argentine tango: its orchestras, figures, and origins, including visual mini-articles on Instagram.

Rezza's teaching approach draws consistent praise from students. One describes his pedagogy as convivial and rigorous in transmitting practice and musicality. Another notes his precision — "Swiss watchmaking: relentless accuracy" — combined with personalised correction. Students report that his classes are structured and clear, creating a feeling of safety while building confidence. The atmosphere is described as welcoming and inclusive, with harmony and kindness flowing through the group.
