About this studio
Tangobar is a tango venue and workshop space in Vienna's 9th district, housed in the Albert Schweitzer Haus. The space was founded by tango dancers seeking a large, atmospheric hall with a parquet floor, good music, and a well-stocked bar — something that evokes the feel of Buenos Aires.
Every first Thursday of the month, Tangobar hosts both a workshop and a milonga. The workshop runs from 19:00 to 20:00 and is taught by Ana and Jorge, covering "all levels" with different topics each month. After the workshop, the milonga begins at 20:00 and continues until 24:00, with live DJs or bands providing the music.
The venue has hosted guest musicians including DJ Hugo Ferrari, DJ Martin Piragino, and the live band El Cachivache Quinteto. The space features a parquet floor and a bar, creating an authentic tango atmosphere. It's run by Herta and Marius Spannbauer.

Tangobar was created by tango dancers who wanted a large, atmospheric space with a parquet floor and good music. After searching, they found the Albert Schweitzer Haus and established Tangobar there, naming it to evoke the atmosphere of Buenos Aires.
