About this studio
Tanzfabrik Berlin Schule operates four dedicated dance studios from Möckernstraße 68 in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Each space is designed for different approaches to movement work, from large ensemble rehearsals to intimate floor-based technique.
Studio 1 is the largest: a bright, spacious room measuring 19.5 × 9.3 × 3.85 m with grey dance carpet on a sprung wooden floor. It's equipped with stereo sound, MP3 input, mirrors along the long side, mobile ballet barres, and can be darkened. This space is ideal when you need room for extended movement sequences.
Studio 2 is more compact at 12.5 × 5.5 × 3.85 m. Its elongated shape is emphasised by opposing window and mirror fronts that run the length of the room. It has dark dance carpet on a wooden sprung floor, stereo sound, MP3 input, and mirrors.
Studio 3 is a large, light-filled room with windows on two opposite sides and two slender columns in the centre. It measures 12.6 × 10.6 × 3.85 m and has a wooden sprung floor (barefoot or socks only). This space is specifically suited for body work methods and techniques involving extensive floor work, and its square layout creates a concentrated working atmosphere.
Studio 4 is a spacious room measuring 16.5 × 9.2 × 3.85 m with a wooden sprung floor, mirrors, stereo sound and MP3 input. It's particularly well suited for larger groups.
All four Kreuzberg studios are available for hourly rehearsal bookings. Tanzfabrik Berlin also operates two further artist residency studios at Uferstudios (Badstr. 41A, Uferstr. 23) in Wedding, which are available for artistic rehearsals and public showings, typically rented on a weekly basis.
