TM Ballroom Dance Studio

TM Ballroom Dance Studio has been teaching ballroom, Latin, Smooth and Rhythm dance in Lakewood since April 2009. The studio was founded by Todd Munson, who began his professional ballroom teaching career at age 16 and trained with top coaches across the country. Todd earned multiple certifications and Top Teacher Awards during his franchise studio career before establishing TM Ballroom as an independent studio known for combining professional excellence with a fun, relaxed energy.

The teaching team brings substantial competitive experience. Jacey Primeau, manager and instructor, was a Rhythm Finalist at the 2014 Washington Dance Sport Championships and the 2014 Yankee Classic. Her five-year professional partnership consistently placed in the Top 6 on the East Coast in both Professional Smooth and Rhythm competitions. She holds Full Bronze certification in both the Fred Astaire and Dance Vision curricula and teaches students aged five to 104, with a particular focus on leading and following technique. Paulina Rosequist, a wedding specialist and instructor, has trained for more than 10 years under Veronica Rocco and brings expertise in kinesiology principles—balance, alignment and posture—alongside her background in Psychology and mental health work.

The studio offers private lessons, group classes, parties, and coaching sessions with nationally recognized ballroom dance consultants. Private lessons run 55 minutes and focus on your specific needs at your own pace. Group classes teach specific dances with no partner required and are a way to learn new patterns and styling. A Friday Night Dance Calendar is available for social dancing. The introductory programme includes two 30-minute private lessons, one group class and one party for $35. Lessons are available Tuesday–Friday from 12–9pm and Saturdays from 10am–4pm.

The studio specializes in wedding preparation and works with couples on dances across Smooth, Rhythm and Nightclub styles. Todd continues to compete in Pro-Am events with students, sharing his competitive experience with the dancers he teaches. Jacey has guided multiple students to success in Pro-Am competitions. Payment options include Venmo and Zelle.

When you visit, you'll work with one of three experienced instructors who will get to know your personal dance goals and tailor lessons to your learning style. Private lessons guarantee individual attention from an instructor, though you are not guaranteed a private room. Group classes teach a specific dance with other students, with no partner required.
