About this studio

Studio Touch opened on 1 July 2021 in a large, purpose-built space on Väringgatan in Vasastan. The studio was taken over by Malin Backström, a dance teacher, author and writing teacher, who runs it as a meeting place for people interested in personal development and creative expression.

The studio offers a varied programme. Tango and other dance classes are at the core — Malin teaches these herself — alongside yoga (including a Thursday class), somatic movement that integrates with tango, Alexanderteknik, fascial treatment, and Tibetan massage. Beyond movement, the space hosts creative writing courses, cultural salons with different themes, meditation, painting, coaching and talking therapy. The philosophy is centred on touch — both literal and metaphorical — and on being moved and moving others.

Because the studio is designed as a meeting place and cultural hub, it also operates a rental programme. You can book the space for your own classes, workshops or events if your work aligns with the studio's values around personal development and creative expression.

The space itself is described as beautiful and large. A short presentation video made by Omställningsfonden shows the studio and Malin discussing the work.
