About this studio
WesTLV runs West Coast Swing classes and social dancing every Tuesday and Saturday at KK Dance Gallery in Tel Aviv. Classes start at 20:00, followed by socials at 21:00. You don't need a partner — the community is open to all levels, from absolute beginners to experienced dancers.
Karin Kakun founded WesTLV to bring West Coast Swing to Tel Aviv. She's a professional dancer, dance teacher, and West Coast Swing Champion competitor. The instruction team includes eleven other instructors, many of them All-Star or Advanced competitors with extensive experience: Uriya Rosenbaum and Noah Antebi (both All-Star competitors), Gal Kashi (Advanced competitor and international finalist), Amit Klein (Advanced competitor, international finalist, and developer of WestieHub), Anastasia Dubnov (Advanced competitor and former ballroom dancer with over ten years of experience who also performed salsa and bachata), Masha Ziv (Advanced competitor with a lifetime of dance experience across ballet, rock and roll, hustle and discofox), and Liron Dvir (Advanced dancer known for her joyful presence in the social dance scene). Intermediate and novice competitors also teach: Tair Feinberg (who came from a ballet background), Alex Feigin (who brings years of teaching experience as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach), Gal Rotbard (an engineer in the semiconductor industry), and Xenia Krivoruchko (a PhD student at Tel Aviv University).
Entry is 50 ILS per class and includes the class, the social, snacks, and drinks at the bar. You can pay cash at the door with exact change or pay online in advance and show your receipt when you arrive. Check the WesTLV Instagram before you come — updates, breaks in the regular schedule, and special events are posted there.
The venue is at KK Dance Gallery, Ben Shemen 4, Floor 2. Look for the door next to the elevator on the second floor.
What to expect
Your first visit
You'll arrive for a 20:00 class open to all levels with no partner required. After the instruction, the social dancing runs at 21:00 with a bar serving snacks and drinks. The community is welcoming and the instruction team includes multiple champion-level competitors.
