Overview
Umbrella association of shag clubs across the Carolinas. Its stated purpose is "to provide for communications among the clubs, to serve as a coordinating body for club activities, to sponsor activities of mutual interest to all clubs". It manages and operates Society of Stranders, Inc. (S.O.S.) and runs member events including Mid-Winter, Spring Safari and Fall Migration. A club-federating and event-coordinating body rather than a competitive sanctioning federation.
