Overview
Powwow promoted since 1983 by Derek Mathews and operated by The Gathering of Nations Limited, held first at the University of Albuquerque, then at the New Mexico Fair Grounds, the University of New Mexico arena (1986-2016) and Expo NM from 2017. It also ran the Miss Indian World pageant from 1984. Organisers have announced that the 2026 event will be the final Gathering of Nations Powwow.
