Overview
National dance company of Ghana, first established at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, and endorsed by Ghana's first President in 1962; it moved to the National Theatre in 1992. Its repertoire draws on traditional performances from all sixteen regions of Ghana, built on the foundational choreographies of Mawere Opoku.
