Overview

Not-for-profit members-only association of Irish dance teachers and adjudicators in North America, established in March 1964 as the North American Irish Dancing Teachers Association (NAIDTA) and chartered in Illinois. Operates as the North American branch of CLRG; members must hold CLRG teacher or adjudicator certification. Over 1,000 members across the USA, Canada and Mexico, organised into seven regions since 1976. Runs the North American Irish Dance Championships (from 1981), regional oireachtasi and feiseanna, and has administered grade examinations since 1967.
