Overview

The ISU About page states it is "the worldwide governing body for Figure Skating, Speed Skating, Short Track Speed Skating and Synchronized Skating" and is "the oldest International Federation in winter sports", founded 1892 and headquartered in Lausanne. Its Figure Skating branch covers single skating, pair skating and ice dance; Synchronized Skating is a separate ISU discipline with its own championships.
