The Faculty of Choreography recorded in this entry is sourced to the university's own faculty page, rufa.edu.kh/kh_faculty_choreography.html. One claim was removed from this entry on 2026-09-06 and the reason is worth stating. An earlier version said the university was named in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage element file for the Royal Ballet of Cambodia, inscribed 2008, as an institution involved in transmitting the tradition, and cited ich.unesco.org/en/RL/royal-ballet-of-cambodia-00060. That page does not name the Royal University of Fine Arts. The only appearance of the Ministry there is a photo credit, "(c) Ministere de la Culture et des Beaux-Arts", and the page names four character types of the classical repertory - Neang, the woman; Neayrong, the man; Yeak, the giant; and Sva, the monkey - but no individual dances. Not established is not the same as false. The UNESCO element has linked nomination documents that have not been read here, and the claim may well be supported in them. It was removed because a published page should not attribute a statement to a source that does not carry it.
