About this studio
The Duce is a 15,000 square-foot event venue and live music space in Phoenix's Warehouse District, housed in a 1928 historic warehouse. The venue operates three stages and can hold up to 1,500 guests. It was founded in 2010 by Steve and Andi Rosenstein, a couple from Chicago who acquired the original bar from Chicago's Black Orchid Jazz Club and installed it in what is now The Black Orchid Room at The Duce.
The space functions primarily as a live entertainment and events venue. The Duce hosts regular public events including disco nights (Studio 525: Disco Night at The Duce), themed dance nights (90s nights, Y2K Summer Bash), burlesque shows, and live music performances. The venue draws crowds ranging from 50 to 2,000 depending on the show. Recent and upcoming events include disco, 90s-themed nights, and burlesque performances.
Food and drink service is handled through Duchess, a 1960s Airstream trailer kitchen inside the venue that serves homemade dishes and family recipes made from scratch. The bar serves vintage cocktails, including drinks prepared from a 1940s bar originally from Chicago's Black Orchid Jazz Club. The venue also features Anchor Rooftop Lounge, an open-air rooftop space with downtown Phoenix views available for private bookings.
The Duce operates as a full-service private events venue seven days a week. It hosts weddings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations, rehearsal dinners, reunions, and corporate events. For private parties, the venue offers customised menus, entertainment options, and space configuration from intimate gatherings of 15–20 guests to full venue buyouts. Groups can also reserve dedicated sections during public show nights. Wedding-specific amenities include a 1960s Duce wedding limo for bride and groom transportation and a 1968 party bus with a bar for bridal parties.
Group rates are available for live shows, dance nights, and special productions. Reservations for private events and group bookings are handled by email.

Studio history
The Duce opened in 2010, founded by Steve and Andi Rosenstein from Chicago. In 2007 the couple discovered the 1928 warehouse in what is now Phoenix's Warehouse District and tracked down the original bar from Chicago's legendary Black Orchid Jazz Club, where Andi had spent her childhood watching her father's band and artists including Harry Belafonte, Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, and Ray Charles perform. The bar now anchors The Black Orchid Room at The Duce.
