About this studio
A Pompadourette opened on 4 September 2009 as a pioneer of pole dance in Portugal. The studio combines artistry and acrobatic strength, positioning itself as a space for freedom and expression. With over 15 years of history, the studio creates original performances, runs specialist workshops, and maintains an active presence at national and international stages, events and competitions.
The main studio room features 6 professional X-Pole poles, each 45mm diameter in stainless steel (hypoallergenic and providing ideal grip). All poles are 3.70 metres tall to ensure complete freedom of movement and space for all vertical transitions. A private studio room is also available with 1 X-Pole pole at the same specifications, ideal for individual training, choreography rehearsals, or reviewing moves from classes.
Classes run for 50 minutes, with one student per pole. You choose your own schedule, levels and styles, booking classes within the 31-day validity window of your package. Classes combine warm-up, conditioning, technique, choreography and freestyle elements. The studio environment features immersive lighting with effects designed to create the right mood and enhance photographs and videos. Manual ventilation with fans and heaters ensures thermal comfort year-round.
Beginner-level "Intro to Pole" classes teach movement progressively and safely from zero experience. The FAQ makes clear that pole dance is open to all bodies regardless of age (18+), weight, gender or biotype—each person adapts movements to their own reality and pace. Bruising ("pole kisses") and mild muscle soreness are normal in the first weeks; with regular practice, skin adapts and discomfort decreases significantly.
The studio offers bachelorette party workshops on Saturdays between 10:00 and 19:00 (25€ per person, available by booking and subject to studio availability). Digital gift vouchers are available in values of 20€ or multiples thereof (40€, 60€, 80€, etc.), with 31-day validity from activation. An app is available for iOS and Android, allowing you to book classes with your preferred Pomp Teachers, monitor package validity and balance, cancel or alter classes up to 12 hours in advance, join a waitlist, and invite a friend to train using one of your credits.
