About this studio
Aria Ballroom is a family-owned dance studio in Redmond, Washington, teaching International Standard, International Latin, American Smooth, American Rhythm, and Club Dances. The studio is led by Principal Instructors Simeon Stoynov and Kora Stoynova, supported by a team of Master Instructors (Jonathan Goodman, Marat Kazarov, Devri Ray, Gabrielle Smith, Anna Sydygalieva, Anton Tseytlin, Misha Vorobiev) and Studio Instructors (Washington Chim, Jose De la Torre, Wojtek Kasiewicz). All teachers actively compete and perform.
The studio offers 19+ group classes and parties every week, rotating partners to help students learn to lead and follow. No partner is required to attend. Group classes focus on technique, rhythm, and musicality in a social setting. Private lessons are available one-on-one with any instructor, tailored to social dancing, performance, or competition preparation. An Introductory Special is designed for beginners and includes a group class, private lesson, and dance party.
Beyond regular classes, Aria runs weekly salsa socials on Sunday nights for beginner drop-in dancers, a Teddy Bear Children's Program (ages 4–8), a Youth Program for advanced young dancers (ages 9–21), wedding choreography lessons with personalized first dances, and competitive training from Bronze level to Open level. Special events include weekly dance parties extending to 11:30 PM Thursday–Saturday, seasonal showcases (Fall Showcase scheduled for September 19th), and social events like the Backyard BBQ Social Dance.
The studio occupies one of the largest ballroom floors in the Seattle Eastside. It is located at 15300 NE 95th Street, Redmond, WA 98052, just off Highway 520 with free on-site parking. Hours are Monday–Saturday 2 PM to 9:30 PM (extended to 11:30 PM Thu–Sat for parties), closed Sunday except for scheduled social events. The studio is easily accessible from Bellevue (12 minutes), Kirkland (10 minutes), Sammamish (12 minutes), Bothell (15 minutes), and downtown Seattle (25 minutes).
Students consistently praise the instructors' skill, the family atmosphere, affordability compared to franchised studios, and the studio's willingness to work with individual finances and circumstances. One long-time student has trained at Aria for over 10 years, advancing from Bronze to Open competitive level.
What to expect
Your first visit
Drop in anytime or sign up online; arrive about 5 minutes early. Group classes rotate partners throughout, so you will dance with different people. If you prefer to stay with your own partner, let the teacher know. All classes are taught by credentialed instructors who actively compete and perform.
