About this studio

Briora Ballroom Dance Studio opened in Redmond in 2012, founded by professional ballroom dancers Jessica and Slava Stefanov. The studio has since moved to a spacious new facility in north Redmond at 12256 134th Court Northeast, Suite 160. Their mission is to inspire and nurture dancers by creating a joyful community that fosters fun, togetherness, and personal growth through dancing.

The studio teaches a wide range of ballroom and Latin dances across three main categories. Social Variety Dance covers classics like Waltz, Tango, and Foxtrot, plus rhythmic dances such as Rumba, Cha Cha, and Swing. Club Dances include West Coast Swing, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Hustle, Country Dance, and Nightclub 2-Step. For those interested in competing, Briora offers Competitive Dancesport training in both American and International Style.

The teaching team includes founders Jessica McMorrow Stefanov and Slava Stefanov, Dance Director Eva Tibenska, instructors Lukas Spisak, Grace Knox, and Teresa MacDonald, Master Instructor Diane Jarmolow, and Kids Dance Instructor Emily Aiken. The studio serves all ages and levels, with no partner required—they teach both singles and couples. A customer review notes that lessons offer "good balance between learning new skills and repetition of moves to practice" and that the membership program offers flexibility for families.

Programs include one-on-one private lessons for singles or couples, a membership program with group classes and dance parties, wedding packages (Wedding 101, Diamond, and Platinum tiers), teacher training, and dedicated kids' ballroom classes. Kids' classes meet on Tuesdays at 4:30 PM–5:15 PM and teach Waltz, Cha Cha, Swing and more. The studio hosts dance parties and special events, including an August Hot Summer Nights Nightclub Special. They also serve the greater Seattle area with performances and private events.
