Arthur Murray Dance Studio Nashville - Brentwood

Arthur Murray Dance Studio Nashville - Brentwood teaches over 30 styles of dance, including Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Salsa, Tango, Swing, Argentine Tango, and Country Two-Step. The studio serves singles looking to meet people and gain confidence on the dance floor, couples seeking a new date night activity, and engaged pairs preparing their first wedding dance.

The studio's method, called "Walk In, Dance Out," is designed to get you dancing on your very first lesson. On that initial visit, you'll answer questions about your goals and the look and feel you want, then be guided through basics by one of their highly-trained certified instructors. You leave with a concrete plan for your next sessions. The studio emphasizes that most students start as total beginners and that having no partner or experience is not a barrier.

For couples, the studio offers personalized wedding dance lessons with three structural options: set choreography, lead-and-follow improvisation, or a combination of both. They also edit your song for your first dance as part of the service. The studio recommends starting several months before your wedding to avoid a tight deadline, though they can accommodate shorter timelines. An intro offer for wedding couples is 2 lessons and a party for $125.

For Latin dancing specifically, the studio teaches Salsa (LA Style), Bachata, Merengue, and Cha Cha. Swing offerings include East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and West Coast Swing. The studio is located in Brentwood at 4926 Thoroughbred Lane and is open Monday to Friday from 1pm to 9:15pm. They also operate a second location in Nashville's Green Hills neighborhood.

Your first lesson begins with questions about your goals and the feel you want your dancing to have. A highly-trained instructor will guide you through the basics, and you'll start learning actual steps in that first session, leaving with a plan of action for sessions ahead.

The studio employs certified instructors described by clients as helpful, fun, and invested in creating a warm atmosphere. Reviews praise them as "absolutely amazing" for wedding dance teaching and note that "every single instructor is awesome."

Most students start as total beginners; the studio specializes in teaching beginner dancers, and you'll dance on your very first lesson with no experience or partner required.
