Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Kansas City

Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Kansas City teaches Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, Rhythm, Swing and Country Western dance. The studio is located at 9217 Pflumm Rd in Lenexa and is open Monday to Friday from 1pm to 10pm, with Saturday lessons by appointment only. The studio is closed on Sundays.

You can take dance lessons as a single or as a couple — no partner is needed to start. Instructors are specially trained and certified, and teach each lesson step-by-step at your own pace. The studio offers singles dance lessons, couples dance lessons and salsa dance lessons. Whether you want to become a comfortable social dancer or a competitive hobby dancer, the choice is yours.

Wedding dance lessons are a speciality. The studio recommends starting four to six months before your wedding to allow time for practice, especially if you are new to dancing. On your first lesson, instructors will introduce you to the main dances most couples use, or work with a song you have already chosen. The studio suggests planning at least one lesson per week for the best results. You can also use classes and parties alongside private lessons, which will give you a feel closer to what your reception will be like, with teachers on hand to help.

The studio offers dance lesson gift certificates for any occasion. They maintain a calendar of studio events and have received positive reviews on The Knot. Arthur Murray is part of a global network that has taught over 40 million students worldwide.

Book a complimentary first lesson at your own pace. The instructor will introduce you to the main dances couples commonly use, or work with your chosen song if you have one. Lessons are taught step-by-step in a supportive environment.

The studio teaches beginners and professionals alike at your own pace; no prior dance experience needed.
