About this studio
Bachata Basel teaches partner dance in Münchenstein, near Basel, with a focus on Bachata and Salsa. The studio offers classes across multiple styles and levels, from absolute beginners through to advanced dancers.
Classes cover Bachata (in styles including Bachata Moderna, Bachata Sensual, and Bachata Traditional), Salsa (Salsa Cubana and Salsa Linie), Brazilian Zouk, and Kizomba. Each style emphasises technique, musicality, connection and body control. Bachata Ladystyle classes focus on feminine technique, body control and musicality for all levels, working without a partner. You can join as a pair or as a single person; the studio will work to match you with a partner if needed.
Regular courses run for 8 weeks with one 60-minute session per week. The studio also offers drop-in classes on Wednesdays at 18:30 (level Basic 2 to Improver 3), where you can pay per class or buy an 8-class package for greater flexibility. Bachata Intensive Weeks run during summer (27 July to 21 August 2026), with daily sessions for a week-long focused learning format. Private lessons are available. Free trial classes are offered, and you can take a level quiz on the website to find the right course for you.
Beyond regular classes, Bachata Basel runs events including BaBa Saturday Practica & Workshop sessions, Open Doors events, outdoor dancing (Tanzen am Rhein – Bachata & Salsa under the open sky), and masterclasses with international instructors. The studio has launched a mobile app for course information, events and bookings.
The space itself is bright, modern and well-maintained with a generous mirror wall, professional sound system, and sanitaries. There is a beautiful garden with seating and a large outdoor area for dancing, yoga, fitness or workshops. An event space of around 200 m² with an integrated bar can be divided into two 100 m² rooms. The studio offers hourly or regular rentals for courses, workshops, yoga, pilates, fitness, coaching, seminars, photo shoots, video production or rehearsals. Parking is available nearby.
