About this studio
Bachata Bliss is a dedicated bachata studio in Graz run by Jules, who has been teaching bachata since 2017. In March 2025, Jules opened the Bliss Dance Studio, a purpose-built facility with two dance halls. The studio offers bachata classes at all levels: Beginner, Improver 1, Improver 2, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each semester runs for 16 weeks, split into two 8-week blocks, so you can structure your learning to suit your pace.
Classes are structured by level and focus. Beginners start with neutral foundational technique. As you progress to Improver level, you're introduced to Bachata Sensual, Dominican Bachata, and Bachata Moderna. From Intermediate level onwards, all three styles are mixed, with a heavier focus on Sensual Bachata technique. Intermediate and Advanced classes run for 1.5 hours, with approximately 30 minutes dedicated to Sensual Bachata technical work.
The studio offers both partner classes and solo classes. Partner classes use a rotating partner system so you dance with different people and improve your skills with varied partners—though if you prefer to dance only with your own partner, that's fine too. Solo classes focus on technique, bodymovement, footwork, and choreographed routines to build your body awareness and confidence. There are also styling classes open to all dancers, regardless of gender, which Jules describes as her personal styling interpretation.
The Bliss Dance Studio occupies two climate-controlled halls. Room 1 is 85m² with a vinyl floor, mirror wall, sound system, and air conditioning. Room 2 is 70m² with a wooden parquet floor, mirror wall, sound system, and air conditioning. The entrance area includes lockers, benches, separate toilets for men and women, and a balcony.
Beyond classes, Bachata Bliss runs regular social events. Bliss Bachata Nights happen approximately every second Saturday, featuring a 20:30–21:00 open-level pre-party workshop followed by social dancing from 21:00 onward. You can attend solo or with friends—no partner required. The studio also hosts longer workshops; upcoming events include a two-day Connection Bootcamp (27–28 June 2026) taught by guest instructor Gadir and Jules, focussing on connection in partner work and with yourself.
Classes are taught in English, with German spoken as needed. The studio is open to international dancers and maintains an inclusive atmosphere. Courses are offered year-round with registration via the website. The studio is centrally located on Triesterstraße 14 and is easily accessible by public transport (tram line 5 to Karlaugürtel, buses 39, 66, 67 to Karlauplatz) and parking.
