About this studio
RS Dancestudio Graz – RS stands for Rising Stars – was founded by Roman Mayer to provide dancers of all levels with optimal training conditions. The studio occupies over 200 square metres of parquet flooring at Karlauerstraße 44a in Graz, making it the largest dance floor in the city. When the studio needed to relocate in August 2011, Mayer chose to establish his own dedicated dance space rather than compromise on training quality.
The studio spaces have been fully renovated and furnished to professional standards. You'll find modern sound equipment, changing rooms with individual lockers for all pairs, sanitary facilities, and a comfortable seating area with a coffee machine. Correction mirrors run the length of the studio's main wall, essential for technique work and visual feedback during training.
Classes and training cover a wide range of styles: ChaCha, Slow Waltz, Samba, Tango, Rumba, Viennese Waltz, Paso Doble, Foxtrot, Jive, Quickstep, Argentine Tango, Flamenco, Salsa, Mambo, and Dance for Kids. Training is structured for all ability levels, from hobby dancers to competitive tournament dancers, and welcomes all age groups.
The studio runs workshops, camps, and social events throughout the year. You can try a trial training session at any time – the studio welcomes newcomers to experience the space and classes before committing. Roman Mayer, the studio leader and trainer, is personally available between 17:00 and 21:00 hours. The studio doors are open 24 hours daily, though direct contact with staff is best during evening hours.
