About this studio

Bachata4Water is part of 4Water, an international volunteer-run organisation that teaches dance and yoga to raise money for WaterAid. The Copenhagen branch, based at Idrætsfabrikken in Vesterbro, offers Sunday classes in Cuban Salsa and sensual Bachata, plus special workshops on topics like Contemporary Dance, Fitness, and Paso Madrid.

The Salsa programme focuses on Cuban style, centred around rueda de casino. Classes run at four levels: FREE Basics at 13:00, Beginners at 14:00, Improvers at 15:00, and Intermediates at 16:00. Bachata classes follow a similar structure, with FREE Basics at 14:00, Beginners at 14:30, Practice at 15:30, and Improvers at 16:00. The teaching emphasises footsteps, partner work, body movement and connection.

All classes are drop-in with no partner or registration needed. The 2026 Spring season runs from January to June. Special workshops happen every Sunday at 13:00, including recent offerings like Salsa con Rumba, Salsa Caleña, Fitness, Contemporary Dance, and Paso Madrid (Bachata).

Bachata4Water also runs free Wednesday socials during the social season, with an intro class followed by social dancing from 20:15 to 22:30. For private events—birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate gatherings—they offer tailor-made classes; contact them for pricing. The organisation has donated more than DKK 555,000 since 2016, with all profits going to WaterAid to support water and sanitation projects worldwide. Teachers, DJs and staff are all volunteers motivated by a shared love of dance, community and the cause.
