About this studio
Baila Dance Today is a Vancouver-area social dance school specializing in Argentine tango, salsa, bachata, and kizomba. Its teaching philosophy is to build the dance "from the inside out" — starting with the relationship among the dancer, their partner, and the music, then layering on the steps and patterns. The studio is known for a warm, welcoming, and humor-filled learning environment where laughing is encouraged.
What to expect
Your first visit
Beginners are welcomed through foundational classes (including a patient, meticulous "baby tango" track) that emphasize partner connection, proper frame, the tango walk, and timing with the music before advancing to patterns. Students can expect strong fundamentals, individual attention, and an emphasis on both leading and following technique. The studio also runs choreographed wedding-dance preparation and participates in social dance festivals.
