About this studio
Bordeaux Dance Crew is a collective of international dance instructors centred around Josué and Céline, teaching 11 disciplines across African, Caribbean and contemporary styles. The core team includes Em Gyal (dancehall), Manon (heels), Mélissa (reggaeton), Nayoum (afro), Wendy (bachata), and Céline (free movement), with Josué and Céline together leading kizomba-semba, urbankiz, tarraxinha, tarraxo and konpa.
Classes cover Afro, Bachata, Dancehall (gyal and male styles), Heels, Kizomba-Semba and Urbankiz, Konpa, Free Movement, Reggaeton, and Tarraxinha/Tarraxo. The studio operates as an association with 410 members and emphasises creating a welcoming, family-like environment. Their teaching philosophy prioritises pedagogical quality: calendars are carefully planned, levels are structured, and instructors are trained or recognised for their teaching ability. The collective values continuous training and improvement.
BDC organises regular social events and workshops. A notable event is the Cours & Afterwork Konpa held at Doppio Malto (46 avenue des 40 journaux, Bordeaux), featuring initiation classes and DJ sets. During the open house (8 September – 10 October 2025), newcomers can try a class for only €2.
The association is built on principles of equality across gender and sexual orientation, welcoming all dancers. Members and volunteers are encouraged to co-create: student ideas feed directly into the association's growth, and dancers have input on choreography direction. Your first visit
A warm, energetic class focused on technique and musicality. Instructors create a relaxed but serious learning space where you'll learn body language, musical codes, leading and following, and the chance to progress within a family atmosphere.
