About this studio

Boa Negra is a cultural space in the heart of Seville's Casco Antiguo, located on Calle Fray Diego de Cádiz near Plaza del Pumarejo. The space is designed in Art Deco style, combining elegance with functionality across a main dance studio and supporting facilities.

The main hall spans 35 m² with a sprung wooden floor, 7 metres of mirrors (concealable with a theatre curtain), adjustable lighting, air conditioning and sound system. This is the teaching and performance space. The space also includes a 25 m² lounge with an equipped kitchen and rest area, plus a spacious bathroom that doubles as a dressing room and makeup area.

Three established schools operate permanently from Boa Negra. Burgundy Burlesque Academy teaches burlesque and boylesque with weekly classes led by Burgundy Allure, focusing on sensuality, stage presence and physical expression, culminating in an annual cabaret featuring both student and professional performances. All That Blues offers weekly blues dance classes centred on body awareness, musicality and partner connection—essential training for those exploring the sensuality of the movement and enriching styles like slow lindy hop. David Cerrone's Chengo Company teaches theatre and improvisation through weekly classes based on stage play, listening and collective creation, building accessibility, creativity, presence and personal confidence.

Beyond resident schools, Boa Negra rents the space by the hour, day or weekend to dance teachers, theatre practitioners, yoga instructors and event organisers. The space accommodates classes, rehearsals, workshops, events and exhibitions.

The location is walkable: 2 minutes from Plaza del Pumarejo, 5 minutes from Calle Feria. Multiple bus lines (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, 1, 2, 10, 11, 13, 14) have stops nearby. SEVICI bike stations are close by. You can reach the space on foot from many parts of central Seville's historic quarter.
