About this studio

BoogieMilano is a sports association founded in 2010 by a group of Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop enthusiasts. Over the years, the association has grown and expanded its offerings. In 2015, Rockabilly Jive was introduced, followed by Solo Jazz in 2016, Balboa in 2018, and Hula Rock in 2018.

The philosophy at BoogieMilano is straightforward: dance is fun, socialisation and wellbeing — a chance to make new friends while learning steps. Whatever style you choose and whatever your level, the aim is to teach you to dance with confidence and competence, with space for enjoyment and developing recognisable style. The association does not set out to forge champions, but rather to help you dance well and have a good time doing it.

Classes run across four venues in Milano: Centro Sportivo Cappelli (piazza Caduti del Lavoro, 5), Arci Scighera (via G. Candiani, 131), Padel Club Bovisa (via Giuseppe Candiani, 26), and Arci Pessina (via S. Bernardo, 17, in Chiaravalle). A full schedule and location details are available on their course calendar.

The teaching team includes Stefano, Federica, Matteo, Ilaria, Simone, Angelica, Luca, Monica, Marco, Viviana, Umberto, Laura, and Giorgio, each specialising in one or more of the styles offered. The instructors are described as approachable, resourceful and well-prepared, ready to open the doors of swing dancing to students of all ages.
