About this studio
Brighthelm Centre is an established community venue in central Brighton, founded in 1987. The centre is located on North Road, a three-minute walk from Brighton railway station and accessible by several bus routes (6, 7, 22, 27 and 48). It functions as both a teaching space and event venue, running regular dance socials and classes.
The centre hosts Bachata Mondays (19:00–23:30), Zumba classes on select Tuesdays (18:30–19:30), and Conscious dance sessions. These events run throughout the year on a regular schedule. The venue welcomes participants of all levels to its dance events.
Brighthelm is fully wheelchair accessible, with lift access throughout, an accessible toilet on the ground floor, and a hearing loop installed. The main entrance on North Road is accessible, as are all communal areas. Baby changing facilities are also available. Limited parking is available on site on a first-come, first-served basis; the car park is managed by a third party and requires registration at reception for all visitors.
