About this studio
Calor Danse has been teaching dance in Montpellier since 1998. The association runs classes in couple dances and solo forms across the city's Maisons Pour Tous venues. They specialise in Cuban and Brazilian dance styles, Rock 'n Roll, and Primitive Dance — a movement-based wellness practice focused on letting go and collective expression.
The studio teaches Rock 'n Roll, described as an essential couple dance from the 1950s to today. Salsa Cubana is offered as a street dance with popular and social roots from Cuba. Samba brings an energetic and sporty Brazilian rhythm. They also run Danse Bien-être classes built on Primitive Expression — described as collective, social, playful and therapeutic art.
Gisèle is the lead instructor, a state-qualified dance teacher specialising in couple dance and dance therapy. She has 28 years of experience in movement-based accompaniment and has trained in Cuba and Brazil. She teaches Salsa, Samba, Rock 'n Roll and wellness dance with both passion and rigour.
Beyond regular classes, Calor Danse organises stages and social evenings where students can practise and dance together. The studio also offers performances — samba shows for events and private occasions. New students can attend their first class free with no commitment required. Classes resume 10 September 2025.
