About this studio
Celebration Ballroom Dance teaches ballroom, Latin, swing and country western dancing at their studio in the WestChase area of Houston, near Beltway 8 and Westpark Tollway. The studio is located at 3664 Walnut Bend Ln, Building B, Suite 200, on the corner of Walnut Bend and Westpark Drive, down the road from Royal Oaks Country Club.
You can take private lessons or group classes. Private lessons are one-on-one instruction where you choose the dances you want to learn and the pace that suits you — ideal if you're shy, want to avoid picking up bad habits, or need a specific dance for a wedding or event. Group classes rotate partners so you lead and follow different people each week, which helps you practice on a crowded dance floor and gain confidence with varied partners. Group classes change month to month, and some are seasonal; you must pre-register before attending.
The studio offers a wide range of styles: ballroom waltz and foxtrot, country western 2-step and country polka, salsa, Bachata, Merengue, swing dancing, line dancing, and LaBlast dance cardio fitness (created by World Dance Champion and Dancing with the Stars coach Louis van Amstel). Specific group classes include Beginner Country Western 2-Step on Sundays at 6pm, Beginner Salsa/Bachata/Merengue on Sundays at 6:45pm, Ballroom Basics on Mondays at 1pm, and Arm Styling on Mondays at 1:30pm. Dance Cardio Fitness classes run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12pm and 12:30pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:30pm and 5pm. Beginner Swing Dancing is on Saturdays at 3pm, and Beginner Country Dance on Saturdays at 4pm. Dance Fitness classes also run Wednesdays at 4:30pm and Thursdays at 12pm. Fridays feature Salsa/Bachata/Merengue at 8pm. All lessons are by appointment; the studio is open 7 days a week with lesson hours Monday–Friday 9am–10pm and Saturday–Sunday 9am–9pm.
Specialized instruction includes wedding dance lessons, first dance lessons, gay wedding dance lessons, father-and-daughter dances, mother-and-son dances, and dance lessons for wedding guests. The studio also teaches competitive ballroom, and offers dance practice parties and space rental for events. Dance performers can be arranged for your event.
New students can try a single lesson for $10 per person. Drop-in dance cardio fitness classes are $25 per class, or enroll for 4 weeks (2 classes a week) for $160. Gift certificates are available in various package options, and you can create personalized packages or purchase individual lessons. You must give 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes to avoid being charged.
