Dance Makers runs three rental dance studios in central Helsinki at Aleksis Kiven katu 34. This is not a school offering classes — instead, Dance Makers leases fully equipped studio space to dance teachers, choreographers, companies and individuals who want to book their own rehearsal or class time.
The three studios range from 43 m² to 80 m², each with different floor options. Across the studios you'll find four types of flooring: parquet, laminate, and two varieties of rubber mat. Every space has good-quality sound equipment (speakers with cable or Bluetooth connection) and large mirrors. You book and pay through their app (available on Google Play and App Store), which shows real-time availability — you can often find a free slot the same day.
Rental rates start from €8 per hour. The location is excellent for transport: the studios are accessible by car, metro, bus or tram. Free one-hour parking is available in the S-market car park directly opposite the building. Dance Makers is flexible in case of illness and operates a straightforward booking system.
Dance Makers also runs an adjacent retail shop (at Aleksis Kiven katu 32–34) stocking dance shoes, clothing, tights, socks and accessories. The shop is open Tuesday–Friday 11–18, Saturday 10–15. They offer free delivery on orders over €150. A Facebook group (Dance Makers Community) shows what's happening in the studios and lets you advertise your own classes.
