About this studio
Dance Vancouver Studio teaches a wide range of Latin and urban dance styles from their second-floor studio on West Broadway. Adult classes span salsa (including Mambo/Salsa On2 and Colombian Salsa), bachata (Fusion, Modern, and Dominican), West Coast Swing, and styles including Hip Hop, Latin Fusion, Move & Groove, Reggaeton, Afro Cuban, Cuban Rumba, Latin Hustle, and Rueda de Casino. The studio is led by Patrick and Scarlet, who offer both group classes and private lessons. New students can book a complimentary assessment with Patrick to find out where to begin in the DVS program, or observe any class to get a sense of the environment.
The studio runs a structured kids programme with classes for ages 3–17, organised by level and age group. Kids classes include Intro Latin Dance, Latin Dance, Urban Latin, and Latin Rhythms, delivered as 12-week programmes. Classes are taught by instructors including Luli, Scarlet, Melany, and Averi. The kids programme features an end-of-session celebration where young dancers perform and celebrate their progress with family and friends.
Classes run Monday to Friday from 4pm to 9:30pm, Saturday 11am to 4pm, and Sunday 12pm to 10:30pm. The studio offers flexible entry points: new students can try 2 weeks of unlimited classes for $50 (singles) or $80 (couples), or commit via class passes and memberships. Online classes are also available through Patrick and Scarlet's training guide on their platform.
The studio hosts social events including Pa' Gozar Fridays with live music. Private lessons are available, and the studio has developed a DVS app for scheduling and access. Students praise the clear instruction, friendly learning environment, and the genuine interest Patrick and Scarlet show in helping dancers improve.
