Dance With Me Houston

Dance With Me Houston teaches ballroom, Latin, and social dance styles at 600 N Shepherd Dr, #405, in Houston. The studio offers private one-on-one lessons, group classes, dance fitness, wedding choreography, and social dance parties. You can start with no partner or prior experience needed.

Group classes run throughout the week and include International Latin Choreography, Waltz & Tango, Line Dance Fusion, Couple's Dance Class, Salsa & Bachata, Noche Latina (focusing on styles like Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue), and a Stretch Class. The schedule shows classes at 6:50 PM and 7:40 PM on weekdays, with a 10:30 AM Stretch Class also available. Private lessons offer one-on-one instruction tailored to your goals, whether technique-focused or creative choreography. Group classes blend instruction with social fun and are designed for all skill levels.

The studio's instructors bring substantial experience. Manu Goncalves, Dance Development Coordinator and instructor, originally from Senegal with Cape Verdean roots, co-founded Salsa Dakar in 2004 (one of Senegal's first salsa schools) and has trained in American Smooth and American Rhythm since 2012, performing and competing across the US, Mexico, and Hawaii. He created award-winning routines including "Dancing for Diabetes" and developed Salsa Cardio. Eric Botello is a Texas native professional ballroom dancer with over 20 years of experience; he began with a ballet folklórico group, trained with choreographers from Dancing with the Stars, competed on the NMSU DanceSport team, and in 2023 claimed the title of Dance with Me National Champion in the Professional Rhythm division. Misha Roberts has been competing professionally for over 15 years in both Latin and Smooth styles, trained by world-renowned coaches including Corky and Shirley Ballas. Crystal Woo Myeonghee is originally from Seoul, South Korea; she competed internationally in Latin and became Korea's National Latin Champion, represented her country at the Asian Games, and owned a dance studio in Seoul before moving to the US.

The studio teaches American Rhythm (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Mambo), American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz), International Latin (Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive), International Standard (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep), and Social Styles including Salsa, Bachata, Hustle, and Merengue. Wedding dance lessons offer personalized choreography for your first dance. Dance fitness combines dynamic moves with a full-body workout. Social dance parties are designed for all levels and provide a welcoming space to practice moves or enjoy a night out. The studio also offers custom choreography for weddings, performances, or personal projects.

Instructors hold certifications from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and DIVIDA. Dance With Me Houston is part of a larger network with six studios across Texas and 15 overall. The studio offers a $49 introductory special (offer expires August 31).
