DanceFactory Leipzig teaches dance to students from age 3 upwards, with classes tailored to different age groups and experience levels. The studio describes itself as a place "where dancing is family," and the curriculum spans Kids Dance, Teens Dance, Jazzdance, Commercial Dance, Ü30 (over-30s), and Yoga for dancers.
Kids Dance classes focus on rhythm and movement taught through play, with dance and movement stories developing motor skills, musical ear and posture while encouraging individual creativity. Teens Dance offers beginner through advanced levels across Jazz, Commercial, Showtanz and related styles in a positive, open environment. Jazzdance emphasises modern stage shows, with technique at varied levels, isolation training, stretching and styles from Lyrical-Jazz to modern Jazzfunk. Commercial Dance combines Jazz, Ladystyle and HipHop to current Pop and RnB music, focusing on fun and individual expression. The Ü30 course offers a break from daily life through dance, while Yoga für Tanzbegeisterte flows through Asanas to music, improving flexibility, posture, body awareness and balance.
The studio runs a Showgruppe called Unique which performs at local events throughout Leipzig and surrounding areas. Recent competition results include Platz 2 in Showtanz at the 2019 Thüringer Löwe competition, Platz 1 and overall winner at the 2019 Dance Competition Elbepark Dresden, and Platz 3 in Jazz-Dance at the 2024 Dresdner Jazz-Dance-Pokal. The performance calendar includes regular slots at Stadtfest Leipzig, Stadtfest Markkleeberg, Haus-Garten-Freizeit, Markttage Leipzig, and community events across the city.
The studio is run by Sandy Seeligmüller, the owner and Inhaberin. The teaching team includes Svenja Uhlmann (Tanztrainerin Teens), Kristin Brock (Tanztrainerin Kids), Yasmine Rostock (Tanztrainerin Commercial), Jette Jäschke (Tanztrainerin Kids), Polly Müller (Tanztrainerin Teens), and Monique ter Vehn (Yoga-Lehrerin).
New students are invited to arrange free trial training (kostenloses Probetraining) by contacting the studio via the contact form or email, ideally mentioning their age and any previous dance experience so the team can suggest appropriate classes.
