About this studio
Dancify is Norway's longest-established full-time dance school for urban partner dances, operating under the name I Love Dancing since 1996. Now located at Eikenga 11 in Oslo (moved January 2019), the studio occupies 700–800 m² across three dedicated dance rooms: Dancify 1 (300 m²), Dancify 2 (150 m²), and Dancify 3 (85 m²). All three rooms have smooth dance floors, mirrored walls, dimmable activity lights, atmosphere lights with mirror balls, and good sound systems with MiniJack connections. The studio is a 10-minute walk from Hasle and Økern metro stations.
Dancify teaches Salsa, Bachata, Brasiliansk Zouk, West Coast Swing, Cha Cha Cha, Merengue, Tango, Burlesque, Commercial HipHop, and High Heels. The studio emphasizes quality instruction and the social aspects of partner dance. Brazilian Samba is offered, including Samba no Pé (solo) and Samba de Gafieira (partner dance). The studio runs regular social dance events called "Utdrikingslag" (drinking tours) in Salsa, Bachata, Brazilian Zouk, Burlesque, Commercial HipHop, and High Heels styles. Instructor Karina was the first teacher to bring Samba de Gafieira to the Oslo community; her students performed at Baila Floripa, Brazil's largest couple dance festival, in April 2011 and received the longest standing ovation.
When you arrive, you'll find a free self-service wardrobe where you can change shoes and store belongings, eight toilets, and a reception area. The three dance floors are smooth and beautiful. All studios have good ventilation, a projector and screen in at least one room, and atmosphere lighting designed not to distract. A sitting area connects the studios where you can relax and socialize. Sound is critical here: instructors and event organizers can connect through MiniJack (bring an adaptor if using MicroJack or USB-C). Mics and headsets are available for rent at reasonable prices.
Dancify welcomes all artists, groups, and individuals to rent the studios for classes, private lessons, practice, rehearsals, dance parties, shows, yoga, meditation, meetings, and lectures. Free parking is available in the evenings and weekends; paid guest parking (Eikenga 15) costs kr 15 per hour or kr 80 per day. Entry to all studios requires indoor or dance shoes only; regular shoes risk damaging the floors and bring in small stones.

Reza (Rey the Blacksmith) leads the studio. Instructor Karina specializes in Brazilian Samba, including Samba no Pé and Samba de Gafieira; she was the first to bring Samba de Gafieira to Oslo and directed students to a standing ovation at Baila Floripa festival in Brazil. Guest instructors include Arthur and Isabel for Samba de Gafieira.

Dancify (formerly I Love Dancing) was established in 1996 and is Norway's first and longest-running full-time dance school specializing in urban partner dances like Salsa, Bachata, Brasiliansk Zouk, West Coast Swing, Cha Cha Cha, and Merengue. This makes it the most comprehensive dance school of its kind in the capital. The studio relocated to Eikenga 11 in January 2019.
