Dirt Road Dancing teaches country swing, two-step, line dance and west coast swing to all age groups. Founded on country swing popularity in the Treasure Valley of Idaho, the studio specializes in converting classic country dance styles into a faster, modern-edge swing. Instructors Troy and Elise have a combined 17 years of dance experience and have been sharing their love of swing dancing with the Treasure Valley together for 7 years. Elise discovered her passion for dance at the University of Idaho; Troy joined her in 2009 and discovered a newfound talent for country dancing.
Dirt Road Dancing offers group lessons, private lessons (in person or online), and teaches around the world. They run regular weekly classes at The Farm venue in Garden City: Tuesday afternoon and evening line dance classes, Wednesday Country Swing (with a college night discount of $5 with college ID), Friday Country Swing, and Saturday line dance and advanced Country Swing sessions. The studio also offers the Signature Six Pack and Signature Stomp Series, which teach six of their best line dances including choreography by Madison Lindley, Elise Lorcher, Nidhi Risi and others.
Beyond group classes, Dirt Road Dancing specializes in wedding choreography, birthday parties, bachelorette parties and corporate events. They teach online and Zoom events for corporate parties and community outreach programmes. The studio is team and community oriented and offers their services to local charities and fundraising events. Each dance session is personalized to fit individual needs, with immediate feedback and guidance to promote creativity, growth and confidence on the dance floor.

What to expect
Your first visit
Weekly group classes at The Farm in Garden City run on Tuesdays (afternoon and evening line dance), Wednesdays and Fridays (country swing), and Saturdays (line dance and advanced country swing). Each session is personalized to your needs with immediate feedback from experienced instructors. Private lessons are also available in person or online, anywhere in the world.

Troy and Elise lead the studio with a combined 17 years of dance experience. They have been teaching together in the Treasure Valley for 7 years. Elise discovered her passion for dance at the University of Idaho; Troy learned country dancing after meeting Elise in 2009. Guest choreographers for their line dance series include Madison Lindley, Nidhi Risi, Trevor Thornton and Brandon Zahorsky.
