About this studio

The Farm is Idaho's largest all-ages country dance venue, located at 5137 N Glenwood St in Garden City. The space centres on principles of growth, gathering, and gaining dance skills—a community hub designed for people who want to dance and socialise without the bar scene atmosphere.

Nightly lessons run year-round, with doors opening at 7pm and instruction starting at 7:30pm. The schedule spans multiple styles: line dancing, country swing, West Coast swing, salsa, bachata, farmer 2-step, and progressive 2-step. Tuesday afternoons also host a basic line dance class at 1pm. Beginner-friendly instruction is available across most classes. Pricing runs $10–$12 per person at the door depending on the day, with discounts for online pre-purchase ($8–$10).

The main dance hall spans 5,600 sq ft with a stage. Four private studios range from 500 to 1,000 sq ft each, suited for workshops, seminars, and smaller gatherings. Lessons are taught by Dirt Road Dancing, 208 Swing, Boise Salsa Dancing Training, and Boise Bachata. Reviews consistently praise instructors Elise and Troy for their approachable teaching and the welcoming atmosphere of the dance community.

The Farm also operates as an event venue for weddings, receptions, graduations, private dance lessons, concerts, corporate events, quinceañeras, and church gatherings. The owners bring over 20 years of event management experience. Parking is free with over 400 on-site spots. The venue offers gift cards, annual passes, and dance blocks (named sponsorships around the dance floor).
