Espacio Irie | Antes Dancehall Center | Mucho más que clases de baile | Dancehall, Reggaeton y Twerk con Irie Queen

Espacio Irie is a dance studio in Arganzuela, Madrid, run by Irie Queen, a specialist in dancehall, reggaeton and twerk. The studio offers in-person classes, online sessions, and special weekend experiences. Classes are framed not just as dance instruction but as a practice in self-discovery—described by students as "an encounter with themselves, a meeting of peace with this body that gives us so much."

Irie Queen brings more than 15 years of specialisation in dance, with extensive training across different dance styles, body work and body care. She has trained directly with hundreds of professors from Jamaica and has deep cultural knowledge of the dancehall style. Her approach emphasizes creating a safe space where students are invited to move freely, to make mistakes without shame, and to learn the cultural roots of the music and movement they are dancing.

Classes run in several formats: in-person sessions at the Madrid studio, online classes you can repeat and learn from home at your own pace, and special weekend experiences. The studio also offers private group classes, hen parties (for women), workshops, and custom events. Recent students report feeling more confident and secure in their bodies after a year of classes, and note that Irie creates an environment where feminism, companionship and self-love are woven through each session.

The studio has a 5.0 Google rating based on 118 reviews. Students consistently describe the classes as transformative, highlighting both the quality of instruction and the emotional safety of the space. One regular noted that dancehall has become "something essential" for her in recent months, and that Irie's teaching style allows students to "try, rehearse, attempt and feel proud of your errors while learning."
