Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Chagrin Falls teaches partnership dances across American and International ballroom styles. Multiple private lessons often happen simultaneously in the ballroom, creating a realistic social dance environment. Group classes are scheduled throughout the week at various times and levels. Practice sessions take place in dimmed lighting with music, preparing you for real-world social dancing without public pressure.

Wedding dance instruction is a core offering. The studio creates custom programmes from simple first-dance steps to fully choreographed routines for the whole wedding party. You can include father-daughter, mother-son dances, and wedding party numbers set to your favourite music. The studio recommends scheduling lessons at least five to six months before your wedding, though shorter timelines are accommodated. Lessons work well as date nights during busy wedding planning.

The Chagrin Falls location is run by owner Calin, originally from Moldova, and manager Victoria, also from Moldova who moved to the United States in 2014. All instructors are certified in the Fred Astaire curriculum, which was developed by Fred Astaire himself. Many have Fine Arts degrees and are actively competing, award-winning professional dancers. The studio also offers access to an online dance store with dozens of dance-related items, and opportunities to compete in Regional, Inter-Regional, National and International Pro-Am and professional competitions.

You don't need a partner to start—if you come alone, your instructor partners with you for private lessons, and group classes and practice sessions provide plenty of chances to meet other students. The studio welcomes all ages and abilities and emphasises a warm, non-judgmental, joyful community atmosphere from your first visit.
