About this studio
Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Fayetteville teaches ballroom, Latin and swing dancing to adults of all ages and abilities. The studio is part of the Fred Astaire network, which has operated since 1947 with a mission to enrich lives through dance.
The studio offers private lessons, group classes and practice parties. Private instruction is customized to your goals—whether you want to learn for social dancing, wedding preparation, or competitive dancing. The teaching method, developed by Fred Astaire himself, is called the Conceptual Method of Teaching and is designed to help you feel confident dancing by the end of your first lesson.
Group classes run monthly and cover a wide range of styles and levels. Beginners can start with Two-Left Feet classes, which introduce primary steps and basic patterns. Intermediate classes build on fundamentals like footwork and lead/follow technique. Themed classes include Night Club (Salsa, Merengue, Hustle, Mambo), Country Western, Ladies' Styling, International Latin and International Standard. Specialty sessions like the Champagne Party mix multiple dances before evening social dancing.
The studio also specializes in wedding dance instruction. Packages range from simple first-dance coaching to full choreography for the entire wedding party, including Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. The studio suggests starting wedding dance lessons 5–6 months before the wedding and offers free consultations to discuss your song, venue and vision.
The teaching staff are internationally trained professionals. Many hold Fine Arts degrees and are actively competing, award-winning dancers. All instructors are certified in the Fred Astaire Curriculum. The studio organizes Guest Parties, Showcases, Spotlights and Community Outreach Events, plus branded Regional, National and International Pro-Am and Professional dance competitions for students who want to compete.
