The studio teaches Argentine Tango, Bolero, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Hustle, Jive, Mambo, Merengue, Paso Doble, Quickstep, Rumba, Salsa, Samba, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Waltz and West Coast Swing. Lessons cover both International and American ballroom styles. All lessons are designed for all ages and all skill levels, with or without a partner. The curriculum is the Fred Astaire proven program: Private Lessons, Group Lessons and Practice Parties are designed to help you learn as much as possible in the shortest amount of time with the most retention.
The owner, Dymytrii Goncharov, comes from Ukraine where he ran several dance schools. The studio's certified dance instructors hail from all over the world; many have Fine Arts degrees and are actively competing, award-winning professional dancers. Instructors include Olena Honcharova, Denys Honcharov, Oscar Alvarado and Polina Danileiao. Lynn Glaser serves as Office Manager and Event Coordinator, while Veronika Shapar is the Studio Coach.
Wedding dance instruction is a speciality. The studio choreographs first dances (from simple steps to fully choreographed routines), father-daughter and mother-son dances, and wedding party routines. The studio recommends scheduling lessons at least a month before the ceremony. You're encouraged to bring your favourite song, pictures of your venue and wedding attire to help customise your dance.
The studio also offers LaBlast Fitness Classes, a partner-free dance fitness workout created by world-renowned dancer and fitness expert Louis van Amstel (as seen on Dancing with the Stars). LaBlast takes you through a diverse mix of famous ballroom dances set to your favourite music, from pop and rock to hip-hop and country. Classes run Tuesdays at 11:00am and Saturdays at 10:00am. Drop-in classes cost $25; a 10-class package costs $200.
