Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Mequon is located on the second floor of 6375 W Mequon Road, serving the North Shore area north of Milwaukee. The studio teaches a comprehensive range of ballroom and Latin dances including Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Bolero, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Mambo, Merengue, Salsa, Paso Doble, Jive, Argentine Tango, East Coast Swing, Hustle and West Coast Swing. Instruction covers both American and International ballroom styles.
The studio's teaching method combines private lessons, group lessons and practice parties, designed to help you learn as much as possible in the shortest time with maximum retention. You'll be on your way to confident dancing by the end of your very first lesson, according to the studio. All students start with an introductory offer, and the studio emphasizes that no partner and no prior experience are necessary to begin.
Kids and teens aged 5–17 are welcome in dedicated kids' dance classes. Group classes for children are held Fridays at 5:50pm, offered in two package options: 5 classes (40 minutes each) or 10 classes (40 minutes each). Private one-on-one lessons are also available for juniors. The studio describes its atmosphere as having an energy of warmth, kindness and a welcoming "FADS community" that is non-judgmental and joyful.
The studio offers wedding dance instruction ranging from a simple first dance to full routines for the wedding party. Competitive opportunities are available through branded Regional, National and International Pro-Am and Professional Dance Competitions. The studio also runs guest parties, showcases, spotlights and community outreach events. A Summer Camp Dance Workshop is scheduled for August 8th, 2026. The Fred Astaire Dance Store offers dance-related products both in-studio and online.

The studio employs certified professional dance instructors including Hayk Arshakian (owner), Victor Andres Caneo (Studio Manager and Dance Director, Chilean National Champion and South American Champion), Arsenii Hyra (professional dancer and coach with over 14 years' experience, born in Ukraine), Anastasiia Ianova (professional ballroom dancer and coach from Russia), and Emma Hovhannisyan (Armenian American dancer from Milwaukee). Instructors are required to complete rigorous certification in the Fred Astaire Dance Curriculum and many have Fine Arts degrees and are award-winning competitive professional dancers.
