About this studio

Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Wellington teaches ballroom and Latin partnership dances to students of all ages and abilities. The studio offers private lessons, group classes, and practice parties, with a curriculum covering American Ballroom, International Style, and a full range of dances including waltz, tango, foxtrot, cha-cha, salsa, swing, quickstep, rumba, samba, jive, paso doble, bolero, merengue, Argentine tango, Viennese waltz, hustle, and mambo.

The studio is run by co-owners Yanis Kukainis (studio manager, originally from Latvia) and Aleksandra "Sasha" Mangileva (Juvenile Program Coordinator, originally from St. Petersburg, Russia). The teaching team also includes Michael McKeever, a professional dance instructor with a background in musical theatre, and Loreta Kriksciukaityte, Regional Dance Director and Guest Coach from Lithuania. All instructors are certified in the Fred Astaire curriculum, many hold Fine Arts degrees, and several are actively competing, award-winning professional dancers.

Wedding dance services are a core offering: the studio creates custom packages from simple first-dance steps to fully choreographed routines for the entire wedding party. Students are encouraged to bring their favorite music, venue photos, and wedding attire to consultations. The studio recommends scheduling lessons at least 5–6 months before the wedding, though shorter timelines can be accommodated. Father/daughter and mother/son dances are also available.

Beyond weddings, the studio runs weekly social practice parties, regional and national Pro-Am competitions, guest parties, showcases, and community events. A competitive program helps dancers pursue Pro-Am opportunities at Fred Astaire's branded Regional, Inter-Regional, National and International competitions. An online Trophy System allows students to review and practice curriculum, and an in-studio and online dance store stocks dance-related products.

The studio is located at 157 S State Road 7, Suite 103, across from Pura Vida Miami and about 5 minutes from The Mall at Wellington Green. It is 15 minutes from Adequan Global Dressage Festival and within 10 minutes of Wycliffe Golf and Country Club. Google reviews average 5.0 stars across 131 reviews, with students consistently praising the welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere, instructor patience and skill, and the sense of community.
