About this studio
Geneva Swing teaches vintage swing styles in three dedicated dance studios on Rue de Carouge. The studio offers classes across multiple levels in Lindy Hop, from absolute beginner through advanced, as well as Balboa and Vintage Solo Jazz. Each style is broken into progressive levels: Lindy Hop runs from Débutants (Beginners) through Bases, Consolidation, Intermédiaire/Inter ELEF, Intermédiaire/Avancé, Avancé, and Avancé Challenge. Balboa is taught at Bases and Improvers levels. Vintage Solo Jazz has three beginner-focused levels.
The studio also teaches Collegiate Shag, Jitterbuggers, Soft Shoe-Tap Dance, and Blues. Private lessons are available alongside group classes.
The three dance studios—Salle Frankie Manning (115m²), Salle Vitrée (80m²), and Salle Blanche (55m²)—are equipped with sprung technical parquet flooring and full mirrors. The Frankie Manning room accommodates 35–45 people; the Vitrée and Blanche rooms each hold 15–25. All three have shock-absorbing technical flooring suited to swing dance.
Geneva Swing runs regular workshops and special events. Past offerings have included workshops on aerials, swing-outs and variations, end-of-year workshops, and initiation sessions. The studio also hosts an artist residency programme. Regular classes are scheduled across the second semester of 2025–2026, with trial classes available.
The studio and its partner AJ Movement rent their dance and movement studios to other organisations. Private hire enquiries can be sent by email.
