Before your first class
Level One is designed specifically for complete beginners; no experience or partner required, and all moves are broken down into easy-to-understand steps.
Wear comfortable clothing that makes you feel good; women should wear pants, jeans or a skirt with a sleeveless top; men can wear pants or jeans with a t-shirt or oxford.

Private lessons: $50 individual, $75 couple, $100 minimum for groups.
About this studio
Kamasalsa Latin Dancing is run by Diana Hoffman, who has been teaching salsa dancing in Cincinnati for over twenty-five years. Diana discovered salsa in Miami, Florida and has since built a programme focused on connecting people through dance. She teaches at the Madisonville Rec Center (5320 Stewart Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227) and also at community events including Salsa on the Square in downtown Cincinnati on Fountain Square, plus corporate events and weddings.
Classes are structured progressively so students can learn at a comfortable pace. Diana teaches salsa at Level One and Two for beginners through to intermediate dancers. She also offers instruction in bachata, cha cha and merengue. All classes are described as fun and casual, with a focus on building confidence on the dance floor. No partner is required — the class is designed so students rotate to balance the group.
Private lessons are available for individuals, couples, groups and wedding parties. These suit people with busy schedules, those preparing for a specific event or trip, or anyone who wants one-on-one attention. You can bring friends and make it a social occasion; couples sometimes bring wine to celebrate an anniversary or date night. Diana and her partner Gary break down each move carefully and work with students to build technique and confidence.
Wedding dances are a speciality. Diana offers choreography and instruction for first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, bachelorette parties and group dances. She helps with music selection and teaches in a relaxed, supportive environment so couples feel comfortable regardless of experience. Dances can be set to traditional Latin music or any song of your choice.
The studio accepts cash and Venmo at registration. Gift certificates are available for individual, couple or group lessons. If you're shy or intimidated by group classes, Diana recommends starting with a private lesson in a relaxed, personalised setting.
