About this studio
L'ABiCi Swing is the swing programme of La Bicicleta ASD, a sports association based in Turin since 2014. They teach Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, and Balboa across multiple levels, from absolute beginners to advanced dancers.
Classes run in three trimesters of 12 lessons each, starting in late September and finishing in mid-June. The 2025/2026 schedule includes named courses at different levels: Louis Armstrong (beginner basics, Mondays and Tuesdays), Count Basie for under-30s (intermediate, Wednesdays), Chick Webb for under-30s (advanced, Wednesdays), Benny Goodman (intermediate to advanced, Thursdays), Charlie Barnet (beginner to intermediate, Thursdays), Cab Calloway (advanced, Mondays), Tommy Dorsey (very advanced, Wednesdays), and Balboa for those with prior knowledge (Sundays). Wednesday nights also feature social dance for L'ABiCi Swing students.
All classes are held at Palafortino on Strada del Fortino 20, a 700-square-metre space with large windows, views over the river, and a 500-square-metre sprung dance floor. The venue is described as luminous during the day and is maintained by volunteers.
The studio emphasizes community and inclusivity. You learn at your own pace without competition, meeting new dancers from around the world. Trial lessons are available for those who have never danced Lindy Hop before. Membership of La Bicicleta ASD costs €10 per year; class fees are €115 per trimester, reduced to €75 for under-30s.

Your first visit
Trial lessons are offered without commitment. Classes are structured by level and named after swing-era band leaders. You'll learn in a welcoming, non-competitive environment on a spacious sprung floor, meeting other dancers and gradually building your skills.
