The club offers group dance lessons before its nightly parties, taught by professional instructors including Rafael Salsero, Sebastian James, Subbu, Reid, Joseph Snowhawk, and Katherine. Lessons cover salsa, bachata, cumbia, and merengue, tailored for all skill levels with no partner required. On Thursdays, Rafael Salsero teaches group salsa from 8 PM to 9 PM as part of "$5 Thursdays"; Fridays feature two lessons—Bachata at 7 PM and Cumbia at 8 PM with Sebastian James as part of "Ladies Night"; Saturdays offer group bachata at 7 PM and group salsa at 8 PM with Rafael Salsero; and Sundays include sensual bachata with Subbu & Reid at 7 PM and intermediate salsa with Joseph Snowhawk at 8 PM, with a beginner salsa lesson with Katherine also at 8 PM.
After lessons wrap, the dance floor opens to DJs and live bands. The venue regularly hosts concerts with major international artists, and plays salsa, bachata, cumbia, merengue, reggaeton and more throughout the night. Regular themed events include "Salsa & Bachata Sundays," "$5 Thursdays," "Ladies Night & Noche Sonidera" on Fridays, and "Sabados Sabrosos" on Saturdays.
La Rumba offers VIP table service with exclusive seating and bottle service, birthday experiences that include private dance lessons and drinks, and venue rental for corporate parties, weddings, and special celebrations. The atmosphere is described by visitors as welcoming and supportive, with good energy across all skill levels. Handcrafted mojitos and other drinks are available, with happy hour 8 PM to 11 PM on Thursdays and $6 shots and domestics all night on Fridays.
