Louise O'Connor is a traditional Irish fiddle player, sean nós dancer and céilí dance instructor who grew up immersed in Irish music and dance in County Clare. She trained as a yoga teacher in India, studied Psychology at university, and holds an MA in Transcultural European Outdoor Studies with a focus on group facilitation. She has facilitated groups in diverse settings including prisons, outdoor education centres, GAA clubs and autism services. She teaches sean nós and céilí dancing in schools and in the Irish language, and has performed and taught across England, Germany, Norway and the USA.

Beyond regular classes, Lasta Dance hosts Céilí Club events—immersive live music and céilí dance evenings described by Culture Ireland as 'innovative' and one of the highlights of emerging Irish voices. These events can be tailored for weddings, hen parties and tour groups. They feature top-class live music from Ireland's traditional musicians, dance performances of sean nós or old-style Irish dances, and simple group céilí dances that welcome all participants. Inclusive céilí events can accommodate individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, autism, mobility issues and visual impairments.

The name 'Lasta' means 'alight' or 'aglow' in Irish, reflecting the mission to keep the flame of Irish music and dance traditions alive through community. Louise performs as part of Lasta, a five-piece traditional Irish band that plays for live dance events at festivals and private functions. She is trusted by organisations including the London Irish Centre, Richmond Barracks and the Irish Museum of Modern Art to create welcoming, inclusive dance experiences. The studio also offers Dance for Wellbeing workshops incorporating yoga, dance and mindfulness, developed through 10 years of work in special needs services, the prison service and youth mental health.
