Lilac Dance Center is Rochester's newest ballroom dance studio, located at 2199 E Henrietta Rd Suite 13. The studio teaches Standard, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm styles across beginner, intermediate, and technique levels. Group lessons run Monday through Friday, 6:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., with no partner or experience required—you can attend alone or with friends.
The weekly schedule is structured by style and level. Mondays focus on Smooth and Standard Technique. Wednesdays cover Standard at all levels plus American and Latin for the Rochester Dancesport Team. Thursdays offer Latin instruction. Fridays include Rhythm lessons, Supervised Competition Rounds, and a free group ballroom lesson at 9 p.m. Tuesdays are reserved for Rochester Dancesport Team training in Standard and Latin.
Group lessons are 45 minutes to 90 minutes long, priced at $20 per lesson. Bulk discounts are available: five lessons for $95, ten for $180, twenty for $340. Weekly passes ($250) and monthly passes ($800) cover all group lessons, excluding competitive team and performance classes.
Private lessons are 45 minutes long at $80 per session, ideal for solo students or dance partners seeking one-on-one instruction. Bulk pricing applies: five lessons for $390, ten for $770, twenty for $1,500.
