About this studio
Linda Salsa has taught Latin dance in Basel since 1999. The studio is run by Oranito, an experienced dancer with over 30 years of training, international competition titles and instruction from Cuba. He brings that foundation to classes in Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba.
The studio describes itself around four values: Herzlichkeit (warmth), Qualität (quality), Lebensfreude (joy of living) and an authenticity rooted in the Latin community. From 2026, the course structure has been refreshed with a particular emphasis on Cuban Salsa as the root and foundation of many Salsa styles.
Classes are organised by level and age: separate courses run for adults and children, and there is a dedicated Mami's class. The studio operates from Spalenring 167 in Basel.
Students describe the experience as forming a close-knit community. One regular noted: "The dance group has become like a small family. It's always fun; you feel free." The focus throughout is on connection through dance, taught by experienced instructors in an authentic Cuban tradition.
