About this studio

KC Dance Studio is a boutique dance school in Basel run by Kiko & Christina, international dance artists who moved to the city in 2017. Rather than teaching dance on the side, the studio is their main stage — every class carries their signature methodology, developed over a decade on international stages and in workshops worldwide.

The studio teaches Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton, and Wedding Dance. Classes are deliberately kept small, with personal attention and feedback rather than anonymous mass instruction. Each style has a clear learning pathway: Discover courses for beginners (12 class hours covering 10 fundamentals sessions plus 2 technique sessions), Open Classes for consistent training, and advanced options including choreography, performance and video courses. Reggaeton, uniquely, is a solo dance with no partner needed.

You can start any time with a trial class for CHF 10. Beginner courses run at CHF 329 (early bird) or CHF 359 (standard), and include access to exclusive course videos for home practice. Open classes cost from CHF 35 per session. Memberships and flexible packages are available for regular and committed dancers. Private coaching during a course period is discounted to CHF 129 per hour (normally CHF 200).

The studio offers socials and festivals where members can dance in community. Wedding Dance courses are available for couples. Bachelorette parties, team building events, shows and animation services are also offered. The studio is easily accessible by public transport, well-equipped, clean and in perfect condition according to member reviews. Classes typically run in the evenings, with Bachata on Wednesdays, Salsa on Thursdays, and Reggaeton on Tuesdays.

Testimonials emphasize the rare quality of learning from international-level professionals in small groups, the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and the depth of technique and body awareness taught from the very beginning. Members report learning more about posture and movement than in years at other dance schools, and feeling part of a genuinely international community.
